AI and DVR integration

Description of Operation

Video request integration between AI and DVR is done based on the AI continuous recording files log and thumbnails.

AI sends to our cloud, information about continuous recording files, and these are stored into a database. Along with these, AI device uploads two thumbnails for each continuous recording file, one for each minute of video;

This information will be used to create a timeline of video files available that should overlap DVR data too.

A video request is performed on both devices at the same time using the IRIS platform.

The result of the request is an “Extended Video” event containing separate video streams from AI and DVR channels.

Iris player supports now multiple video streams which can switch between them.

Assign device to the company

Manually set the device to generate and upload CR files logs and thumbnails data;

Under AC device > Health > Advanced settings > Add:

CONTINUOUS_RECORDING_UPLOAD_THUMBNAILS = YES

CONTINUOUS_RECORDING_UPLOAD_SEGMENTS = YES

IDGSDVR setup

Add DVR device into the system. AC > Manufacturing > Devices > DVR Production

Assign device to the company

Set DVR device monitored channels under AC > Device details > Settings;

Note: Please be aware that the new DVR devices will permanently be connected to the server and “Update interval” setting is ignored.

2.4. Set on the device, the APN based on the SIM provider and server IP address to 52.87.0.30 Port 9090

Perform Iris video request

Under GPS tracker section select the device from the list and click on “Request video” button from the map marker popup;

Select a 30 min interval from the 24H timeline – this is used to indicate available data periods and funnel server data interaction;

From the pictures carousel select the one corresponding to the time you are looking for; The pictures may give you a bit of context on what interval to request;

Adjust the slides to establish the video length

Select the DVR channels you would like the request video to contain; Please be aware that an AI video request will be always performed along with the DVR;

Once request is performed an EVD should be available containing all requested videos;
