Idrive Base Station 2TB upgrade procedure

Your Idrive PC has two 500 GB (1/2 Terabyte) HDDs that are mirrored (for disaster avoidance of a HDD crash)

The 500 GB size is limiting you to how many days of events you can keep on the machine before Auto Deleting and/or backing up an external client drive. The installation of the larger 2TB Mirrored HDDs will yield a much longer life to events kept on the station before forcing you to auto delete them to make space for new events.

This price quoted comes with Idrive remote Support time and has a few client requirements.

1. The Dual HDD (called a RAID 1 Mirror) is a standard that Idrive systems require to protect your data from loss due to HDD failures
2. Idrive Support will need to work with personnel from your organization who are experienced (and qualified) to open the PC and replace one of the existing Dual HDDs (includes mounting and securing the drive in the PC) with the first 2TB HDD
3. Then after the first 2TB HDD is mirrored and burned in for 2 days, we will require the same for the second 2TB HDD
4. Idrive Support will again rebuild the Raid 1 Mirror and allow the drives to burn in for 2 days
5. Idrive Support will maintain telephone and remote connection with the Base Station and your personnel during this upgrade
6. Finally Idrive Support will remote back in and extend the HDD Mirror to the new un-allocated space making the HDD a single 2TB mirrored Raid 1 drive
7. Afterward Idrive strongly suggests that you to store the original HDDs in a safe (corporate approved) place in the event of a catastrophic failure (perhaps for 6 months to a year)
