AI Power Cable Protector Installation Guide

If you have been supplied with the AI Power Cable Protector, please follow the steps below to insert and lock the Power Cable in place

The Power Cable Protector is specifically designed to keep the electrical connector on the camera in a stationary, vertical position

- This protects from tampering, power disconnection and intentional damage to the AI Camera

- Additionally a Tie Wrap Mounting Pad keeps the Power Cable in the vertical position on the windshield between the AI Camera and the top frame of the windshield

Important Notes regarding the Cable Protector use:

• -Should only be used without the "Y" Extension Adapter when the AI Camera is mounted directly to the windshield mounting paddle
• -Should only be used when mounting to a mostly vertical windshield

- Windshields with a high angle of "rake" will not be able to install the Cable Protector due to the distance between the AI Camera and the angled windshield

• For an additional point of cable protection, place the supplied Wire Tie Mount directly above the AI Camera and secure it to the windshield using the applied adhesive

- Placed 4-6 inches above the AI Camera and running the Power Cable through the Tie Wrap loop will keep the cable in a stationary, secure position on the windshield

Steps to install, start with the AI Mounting Paddle

After locating and attaching the AI Camera Mounting Paddle to the windshield...

-Then mount the Tie Wrap Mounting Pad as below

1. Place the Tie Wrap Mounting Pad 4-6 inches directly above the AI Camera Power Connector using the adhesive backing
2. Pass the Power Cable through the Tie Wrap Loop (leave loosened until the AI Camera is mounted to the AI Windshield Mounting Paddle

Attach the Power Cable Connector to the AI Camera

1. Slide the metal Power Cable Connector Protector up from behind the AI Camera covering the Power Connector
2. Position the mounting stub of the AI Camera to fit between the screw sockets on the paddle and line up the holes
3. Make sure the drilled hole passing between the AI Camera mounting stub and the protruding mounting arms of the Mounting Paddle line up

• Place the mounting Screw into the opposite side of the Mounting Paddle screw hole
• The Screw will pass all the way through the AI Camera and metal Cable Protector to the threads on the Mounting Paddle
• Tighten in place
• Pull the Tie Wrap tightly over the Power Cable and trim excess
