- Power connector is the same form and keying as the D4 & VisionMaster D8 but the pinouts are different.
- The remote control works from a very wide angle to the front of the unit.
- Construction of the unit is MUCH better than the VisionMAster D8 device.
- Hard drive installation is quick and easy.
- Hard drive reader required (Sata), comes with each unit
- Hard drive file system is EXT3 (Linux)
- EXT3 drivers on laptop? Blue screen of death sometimes on my system - NO! Uses DiskInternals Linux Reader
- Video cable from the front and use AMCAP/StarTech USB 2 S-Video converter?
- Connect with Cat5 cable
- The manuals and menus are in real English.
- Menu structure is much better
- Supports Daylight savings time
