Base Station Installation

Determine if customer is interested in Base Station and WiFI installation
Obtain Location of installation
- To obtain an overhead view of the location to help evaluate WiFi placement and other issues
Obtain Contact(s) for:
- IT (to help determine internet, existing equipment etc)
- Facilities (structure type, electrical availability etc)
- Fleet manager for location ( to discuss fleet patterns, areas to be covered etc)
Support looks over the location, discusses with customer personnel and develops a plan
Document it and cost it and get it to sales
Sales quotes the installation and any additional equipment required. Supplies map od site from support to pin down the scope of work

Order equipment if not in stock
- D4 DVRs
- Correct mix of Cameras
- Monitor?
- Cables - how many, what length
- Security Lock Box?

D4 Installation
<br\><br\> (Installation) <br\><br\ Confirm with customer as to the location of the D4 and cameras.
Make sure that the mounting locations will not interfere with safe operation of the vehicle.
Locate a good source for the power supplies Constant12v, Keyed12v & Ground.
Mount the D4 while making sure to leave room for all connections and the removal of the hard drive.
The D4 is shipped with a power connector which has three wires 'red' wire constant 12V, 'yellow' wire switched 12v and black ground.
Use a volt meter to check for constant 12V and switched 12V.
Also supply will be a in-line fuse that will be connected to constant 12V red wire.
You will need to connect the fuse using a butt connector not supplies.
